Head Digital Business Architect

Role Purpose

Our successful candidate will be responsible for digital transformation implementation and digital business architecture over a full consumer journey from marketing, leads, sales, onboarding, retention, service and advice. The role requires leadership over various design and delivery functions such as CX, process optimisation and design, technology enablement & selection, solution and operational design and delivery, and data.

Part of the responsibility of Business Architecture is driving constant business process and capability renewal and the ability to measure improvement, enabling the use of data for fact-based business capability management to drive employee productivity and improved client experience.

The role stretches across the Digital client and Myriad value chain, ensuring technology reuse, learning, alignment, and influence as we strive to digitally transform the business value chain. You will be responsible for driving innovation, assisting IT in integrating new enabling technologies into the Myriad ecosystem ensuring value add for both the Client Value Proposition, Broker Value Proposition and Product Value proposition playing out in an improved business.

Requirements
  • 7+ years proven track record in leading successful digital transformation initiatives within a complex organizational structure.
  • Financial Industry and Life Insurance Experience essential with proven experience in advice, sales, compliance environments and processes.
  • Business and Enterprise Architecture Experience essential.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT or a related field
  • Post-graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in a direct-to-client business or new business initiatives would be an advantage
  • Experience in previous technical/business lead and development roles, operational or "business architect" roles would be an advantage
  • Experience in operational leadership & technology solution implementations.
  • Exposure & technical background to modern CRM systems would be an advantage (SalesForce, Dynamics, others).
  • Business understanding of digital paid marketing platforms, like search & social, would be an advantage, while understanding key optimization tactics including UX/UI, measurement platforms.
  • Knowledge and experience on SaaS type solution management & control cycles will be an advantage, as well as cloud-based data management.
  • Knowledge and experience in using data and measurement frameworks to drive operational excellence and to setup and use data for decision making and management.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Driving constant business process and capability renewal and the ability to measure improvement, enabling the use of data for fact-based business capability management to drive employee productivity and improved client experience.
  • Technical product / solution / techstack ownership to deliver operational efficiencies through technology & process, usability & interface (client & internal), while balancing security and integrating to group-wide architecture across Client Digital and Myriad.
  • Drive operational business insights from data & drive new projects to expand business value and growth by delivering new processes, winning on new leads sources, and delivering related business cases.
  • Create, manage and maintain a resource structure to enable delivery and to fulfil on the long-term objectives of the business.
  • Own enablement delivery for technology and process supporting functional areas namely marketing, sales, retention, admin, onboarding, service, advice & new projects / pilots.
  • Own the overall business architecture and functional enablement design to ensure overall business optimisation & delivery.
  • Lead the design of various solutions and process sets, and be comfortable to lead a multi-functional team strategically to deliver on project outcomes.
  • Enable operational sales and digital marketing delivery through process, data and technology solutions.
  • Build strong collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders including but not limited to technology and compliance teams.
  • Develop and align digital transformation strategies with overall business objectives, organizational goals and market trends, ensuring they support revenue growth, operational efficiency, and market competitiveness.
  • Develop and implement an innovation roadmap aligned with the company's long-term goals, identifying areas for innovation and growth.
  • Foster a culture of creativity by encouraging idea generation, facilitating brainstorming sessions, and implementing frameworks for capturing and evaluating innovative concepts.
  • Identify and initiate initiatives to enhance client experiences through digital solutions, understanding customer needs, and implementing digital strategies to improve engagement and satisfaction.
  • Utilise data analytics to derive actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making and identifying new business opportunities or market trends. Provide structures and dashboards to business to measure key activities and KPIs to drive and measure operational performance and improvement.
  • Drive digital capability adoption across the business to extract and prove productivity efficiencies of the usage of new processes and technologies.
  • Together with IT research emerging technologies, possible business value, market disruption and evaluating their potential application to Myriad and Client Digitals strategic objectives and presented via the business architecture.
  • Oversee the development of prototypes and pilot programs for innovative ideas, coordinating testing and iteration processes to validate concepts.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress of digital initiatives, continuously optimize processes, and ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business and IT to establish a digital business including the Business Architecture, Business Capability Management to influence, transform and drive the evolution to a digital business.
  • Create world-class client experience through design and process to ultimately improve better business outcomes and usage of key client-facing and new employee capabilities.
  • Lead and grow a diverse skillset, high-performance team.
  • Initiate and manage new technology contracting relationships and related delivery to achieve project and business outcomes. Ensure healthy SLA and commercial relationship management of key partners and contractors.
