Head of Manufacturing Operations

Responsibilities:
  • The Head of manufacturing operations is responsible for overseeing all operations including:
  • Operations
  • Planning
  • Cutting
  • Receiving/dispatch
  • Quality
  • The asset management
  • People component
  • Accountable to oversee and maintain the accurate quality and quantity control to ensure the on-time delivery of produced products in order to satisfy the retail customers
  • Execution of an operations strategy for all departments that is aligned to the strategic objectives of TFG D&M. This would involve the objectives, quality, speed, dependability, flexibility and the cost of the plan
  • Ensuring that the production plan is achieved and maintained (product profile, line efficiencies and deliveries according to plan).
  • Ensuring that planning production meetings, productions activities, machined maintenance plans and maintaining product quality and budgets are adhered to
  • Accountable for workforce planning, staff morale and effective resources allocation and utilization
  • Accountable for the Health & Safety of employees and facilitation of employee Well-being programmes
  • Accountable for a safe workplace for all employees and facilitation of employee Well-Being programmes
  • Accountable for a safe workplace for all employees, including managing relationships with Group facilities, Employee Transport Service providers, and other legislative requirements
  • Report & Review financial statements, activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity to determine areas needing cost reduction improvements
  • Ensuring that all Skill & Training development needs and objectives attained

Qualifications:
  • Essential - A National Diploma or Degree in Finance, operations, clothing management, people, industrial engineering
  • Essential - 8 10 years, Job related experience in a similar manufacturing. Environment.
  • Essential - 5 years , Clothing manufacturing with technical clothing experience.
