Amazon is searching for a self-motivated Senior Communications Manager to join the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) PR team. This role involves shaping media relations strategy, promoting and protecting corporate reputation, and leading creative PR campaigns in influencer and owned social media channels. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a track record in executing effective PR programs for large organizations, with an emphasis on earned media and influencer relations. The role will be responsible for all communications activities in the country including Stores, Workplace, Sustainability, Economic & Community Investment, and more.
The candidate should demonstrate a proven track record of developing and executing measurable and effective consumer and corporate communications programmes for large, fast-moving organizations including earned media, social reach, and high-engagement influencer relations. The successful candidate should have leadership experience, as well as an entrepreneurial and goal-oriented approach. Balancing both the strategic and the tactical, they will demonstrate bias for action while diving deep, thinking big, and insisting on the highest standards. They will lead from the front, and will be happy to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. They will be experienced in handling sensitive issues, acting fast with high judgment, making the right measured decisions, and staying calm in situations that (to others) appear unbelievably stressful. They are proficient in providing counsel to senior leaders, helping them make informed business decisions.
