About The Position
The Head of Risk & Security will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure work environment for all employees, stakeholders, contractors, and clients. We are looking for a someone who is highly experienced in implementing proactive security measures to prevent various forms of crime, managing compliance with security policies, investigating breaches and misconduct, and implementing corrective actions. Additionally, overseeing professional security services to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, effective emergency response and safe evacuations.
Responsibilities
- Plan & coordinate monthly security operations & team meetings.
- Manage the annual department budget.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through the supervisory leadership team and oversee the administration and effective utilisation of security coordinator resources.
- Provide supervision and assistance to the supervisory team ad manage investigations into internal matters such as property loss or damage and assist with Operational Risk Management (ORM) investigations.
- Success in this role is measured by the execution of monthly security operation plans, monitoring and meeting the annual department budget, successful implementation and maintenance of company policies and procedures, effective resource allocation, timely internal investigations, adherence to Emergency, Escalation, & Evacuation (CMCP) plans, and managing outsourced security contractor partners through KPI-driven performance meetings.
- Bachelors degree in security management or related is preferred.
- The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in supervising large-scale security operations.
- A strong understanding of Military and Police backgrounds and relationships, including liaisons.
- The ability to conduct thorough investigations is crucial, along with experience in developing and delivering training plans.
- Candidates should also have a track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships with the Police Force.
- Experience in implementing and managing Emergency, Escalation, Evacuation, and Response Plans/Procedures is a key requirement for this role.
