Head of Sales

As the Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our sales team across two key geographies Dubai and South Africa. This is a high-impact position that requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and the ability to drive revenue growth across a diverse range of products. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team made up of multi-product Sales Executives, Pre-Sales and Marketing.

The successful candidate will be based in Gauteng. The SynergERP work environment is flexible and allows employees to work from home when not at client and other work-related meetings and events. This is an attractive offering to most but is only successful if the candidate is a self-starter and motivated results are key in this environment.

Duties And Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:
  • Provide visionary leadership to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Sales Executives across multiple products.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of sales team members.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Work closely with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
Geographical Management:
  • Effectively manage sales operations in both Dubai and South Africa.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of sales strategies across both geographies.
  • Travel periodically to both locations for team meetings, training, and strategic planning.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Establish KPIs for the sales team and monitor individual and team performance.
  • Regularly report on sales metrics, forecasting, and pipeline analysis to the executive team.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making processes to enhance sales efficiency.
  • Promote the use of, and enhance the functionality of the CRM application, namely: Salesforce.
Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Address customer concerns and inquiries, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless collaboration and information sharing.
  • Provide valuable insights from the sales team to contribute to product selection, development and marketing strategies.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
  • Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in a multi-product and multi-geography setting.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, market dynamics, and customer behaviour.
