Requirements
- Actuarial Science or Statistics and Mathematics degree essential
- Qualified Actuary
- Certified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (preferred)
- 10 years of actuarial experience within the financial service industry
- 5 -10 years of management experience
- Exposure to investment management, risk management, product development
INTERNAL PROCESS
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to research and analyse the financial wellness needs of clients.
- Based on clients financial wellness needs manage the development of products and solutions for Corporate and other segments.
- Oversee the bi-annual product reviews to monitor and maintain the ongoing viability of existing products to ensure that they still are profitable, appropriately cost, competitive, marketable, and meet clients' need, in order to either improve the product or the way in which it is managed.
- Build and maintain pricing models to evaluate the risks and enable pricing.
- Ensure the implementation of development strategies to ensure the delivery to the segments strategic focus areas around client centricity, growth and excellence to enable financial wellness.
- Ensure that the product development capability operates on an innovative, profitable, competitive and financially viable basis through an optimised packaging model.
- Ensure that products are developed within the Groups governance framework and that products continue to be maintained within this framework.
- Align all product development solutions to development principles for new business and existing business that are relevant to the segment and target market.
- Work collaboratively with the other business units to provide outstanding, effective and efficient product development capabilities.
- Contribute to related processes to continuously grow the target market and influence client experience.
- Influence new business, marketing and communication processes incorporating product development, and client experience to improve the understanding and acceptance of product solutions in the market.
- Contribute to the optimisation and delivery of the relevant segments client value propositions in partnership with the segment.
- Develop, build and maintain product development process in respect of client experience, client management and business development.
- Continuously strive to enhance and improve the product development processes.
- Contribute to discussions related to product capital requirements, value of new business and other financial metrics
- Identify and mitigate risk associated with the existing products by assessing the product features.
- Provide insights to other functional areas, segments and channels to enable innovative client centric solution and client experience design.
- Improve client offering through enhancements on existing products in order to ultimately increase shareholder value.
- Report on product performance and regulatory compliance
- Build financial projection models to simulate the probable client outcomes given proposed changes, and apply judgement on the suitability of the proposed solution
- Manage and prioritise the process of product enhancement to test the viability of proposed solutions against the business requirements.
- Partner with the Head of Technical Marketing to ensure that structured solution client and intermediary technical marketing content is appropriate and up to date.
- Partner with the Head of Distribution to ensure that the overarching distribution strategy that will enable the delivery of the total value proposition of the structured solutions business to market.
- Partner with the Head of Structured Solutions Administration to enhance client and intermediary experience.
- Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Exhibit a disciplined execution, especially in the delivery of complex projects requiring cooperation across business units.
- Technical expertise is well-balanced by a customer mindset and an appetite to deliver a great customer experience beyond just the technical elements of the offering.
- Contribute to the process of negotiating objective and realistic service level agreements, monitor appropriateness and recommend adjustments.
- Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed.
- Gather, collate and co-ordinate feedback from clients and make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility, and coordinating client/partner training where required.
