Requirements:
Minimum education (essential):
- Grade 12
- Samtrac Course
- National Diploma
- Recognized and appropriate health and safety qualifications
- SACPCMP Registration
- SAIOSH Registration
- 5 years in Civil Engineering/Construction Background
- Willingness to travel to various sites
- Construction health and safety management.
- Construction project-specific health and safety management systems
- Health and safety performance measurement and monitoring
- Continual improvement
- Knowledge of applicable legislation
- Relevant experience in the health and safety industry, with specific detail on construction experience.
- Skills and Knowledge (essential):
- Detailed knowledge of construction health and safety requirements at managerial and operational levels.
- Design, compile and implement or manage the health
- Mentor, coach and guide Construction Health and Safety Officers
- Structuring of regulating health and safety and appropriate legal frame work for a construction project.
- Implement principles of cause-and-effect analysis and its application to hazard identification and risk management
- Implementation of the fundamentals of leading health and safety practices related to construction operations that are incorporated into health and safety management systems
- Baseline risk assessment
- Attend and participate in tender clarification meetings
- Costing and budgeting
- Daily Management of Health and Safety Management System
