POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Discharge his duties as the CR8(5) on the Wind Farm
- Implementing and management of Health and Safety systems and plans; Always ensure legal compliance with OHS Act and MHS Act, ISO health and safety standards, customer requirements, as well as any other applicable legislation
- Conduct all internal H&S induction training to all employees and contractors at the Project. (Induction, HIRA, Correct use of PPE, Safe behavior and awareness
- Assist in compiling risk assessments. (Baseline, Issue and continuous
- Ensure that daily risk assessments are completed correctly, assessed and distributed
- Manage safety performance of subcontractors. Ensure no sub-contractor is permitted to work on site without being in possession of a safety file
- Compiling and updating of health and safety file
- Ensure all employees/visitors are inducted prior to being permitted to enter or work on site
- Ensure that all appointments are done as per the site SHE organogram and the communication of the responsibilities to the appointee is explained
- Prepare the site emergency evacuation plan and ensure all supervisors and contractors are supplied with a copy of the plan
- Assist and support environmental officer when not on site
- Ensure that all monthly and weekly applicable inspections are done
- Revision of HSE Plan when applicable and required
- Conduct accident/incident investigations and reporting
- The HSE Officer shall function as part of the Project Site Team
- Liaise with Goldwind HO, contractors, external suppliers, and the client representatives
- Diploma or certificate in HSE
- SACPMP Registration
- Extremely organized and efficient individual
- Work well under pressure and have impressive stress management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proclivity for catching errors and enacting appropriate changes

- English Speaking
- MS Office software Familiar with the construction activities and limitations of wind farm, substation, and transmission line
- OHS Act; Construction regulations;
- First aid Level 3
- Understanding of OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001
- Understanding of applicable legislation
