Technical Support Engineer

The successful candidate for this position will work in my client's field application engineering team and provide technical solutions during both the design-in and post-sales phases of the customer relationship. The candidate will help customers fully utilize the performance capabilities of GNSS, short range and cellular wireless products.

The client represents a balanced portfolio of the world's premier Wireless Data Communications, RF /Microwave component and Sub-systems manufacturing companies with branches in all the major commercial centres of South Africa.

Besides a competitive salary and benefits being offered, the ideal candidate needs to be highly motivated and willing to learn about and experiment with new products and concepts. There will also be opportunities to travel abroad and receive internationally designed training.

B Tech or BSc in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
C/C++ Embedded System Programming experience (Firmware)
Technical Sales Support experience
3-5 years' experience in the above field
Must be able to communicate well in English (both spoken and written).

PCB Design experience
