Junior Millwright

Hire Resolve's client is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Junior Millwright to join their team at the plastics manufacturing plant in Cape Town. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced Millwrights to provide maintenance and repair services for our production equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment in the plastics manufacturing plant.
• Perform routine inspections to identify and address potential equipment malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with production equipment.
• Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance schedules.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of production processes.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Requirements:

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of electrical systems and PLCs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Valid driver's license.
