Purpose of Job
Assisting HR team members in the implementation of people processes through conducting general administrative, coordinating, record keeping and HR system maintenance activities with high levels of accuracy and customer centricity to ensure the HR plan is effectively delivered and that customers needs are addressed.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
Provide the HR team and customers with standard and accurate people data reports and calculation through the effective use of the HR systems and technology. Prepare and provide reports at the request of more senior HR team members, containing people data or HR metrics to enable the business partnering teams to efficiently deliver solutions and advice to their assigned internal customers. Ensures data integrity of the HR systems by updating the required people data and records accurately and on time, following set standards and procedures as well as governance guidelines. Conduct the administrative duties required to support both recruitment and onboarding of new employees to ensure these have a positive experience and to ensure the process is conducted compliant with relevant policies. Provides support in the coordination of activities needed to complete the selection and onboarding process which includes the coordination of the employment contracting process. Assists in facilitating the recruitment requisition process with the recruitment department and follows up until completion. Supports Sasol Employee Relations goals by completing relevant documentation accurately and ensuring the HR system is appropriately maintained. Clearly understand and become familiarised with Employee Relations policies and processes to be able to support effectively. Set up and coordinate relevant hearings and grievance meetings in accordance with set procedure and assist in drafting relevant documentation. Ensures the collation and finalisation of relevant documentation on completion, and extracts and captures information on the ER system. Support the implementation of Remuneration and Benefits policies through conducting accurate calculation of remuneration, rewards and benefits. This includes providing support for the annual salary increment and short-term incentive processes. Assists with the coordination of the employee movement processes and procedures (e.g., employee transfers, promotions, redeployment, and rotation) and employee separation process and procedures (e.g., resignation, retirement, retrenchment, dismissal, ill health, death and incapacity) through coordinating and implementing the various administrative processes required for these. Provide assistance to compile reports for the quarterly audits on employee benefits and allowances. Manages any administrative related HR processes required to support the achievement of the HR plan (for example, long service awards, relocation etc.) with high levels of efficiency, customer centricity, and compliance. Directs employees and line managers with the correct route to take for the resolution of HR issues. Continuously seeks to improve personal mastery and professional growth. Projects a positive image of HR through all interaction with customers. Is responsive to customer queries, needs and challenges. Keeps customers informed of progress on HR queries. Builds effective relationships with own team and networks.
