PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for the administration and facilitation of induction, Standard operating Procedures (SOP) and Dover testing for all employees operating Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) and vehicles on the mine as regulated by the Mine Health and Safety Act (8.10.23) as well as upkeep of training records.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Responsible for the administration and facilitation, ensure facilitation and administration of induction, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Dover testing for all employees operating Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) and vehicles on the mine as regulated by the Mine Health and Safety Act (8.10.23) as well as upkeep of training records.
- New hire training documentation: Coordinate and assist new employees with completing necessary required safety training and thereafter keeping track of supporting paperwork and proof of training completion to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal requirements.
- Induction and training: Conduct new employee induction to familiarize them with company policies, procedures, and expectations. Coordinate and support deliver training sessions, either independently or in collaboration with other departments, to ensure new hires receive the necessary information and training to perform their job effectively.
- HR policies and compliance: Coach employees on Code of Practices/DMRE guidelines and how to ensure adherence.
- Employee records and systems: Maintain accurate and up-to-date training and Dover Assessment records in HR information systems or databases.
- Ensure data integrity, confidentiality and data protection in accordance with privacy regulations.
- Serve as a point of contact for new employees (and existing staff as well), helping them navigate through the initial stages of their employment as it relates to safety training requirements and compliance thereof.
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding employees booked for Dover testing and ensure alignment with medical and induction dates.
- Ensure correct procedure is followed in regard to the administration of the Dover testing (Booking, developing Rapport, making candidates comfortable, obtaining consent, etc.).
- Ensure the Dover computers are fully operational and attend to any problems that may arise (liaise with provider/IT).
- Ensure candidates complete the attendance register and those who do not meet the requirements attend Rehacom.
- Ensure they maintain a test environment that is free of interruptions and deviations to ensure accuracy of results.
- Grade 12 or NQF level 4 equivalent
- Human Resources Management (NQF Level 5 or related qualification).
- Computer literate
- Up to 1 years experience within a Human Resources Administrator role.
- Mining experience is preferential.
- SAGE X3 experience advantageous.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
