Who We Need
Nicola our wonderful Learning Experience Curriculum Manager, in Professional Qualifications, is looking for a SAQA qualified tutor to drive the achievement and engagement of students studying for their CIPD professional qualification on our Avado Hub. CIPD (Chartered Institute for Personnel & Development) is a UK accrediting organisation recognised by SAQA.
What Youll Do
Equally importantly, you will align beautifully with our organisational values, which were defined by our people for our people, clients, learners and partners:
- Support students throughout their programme by providing outstanding service delivery via various online channels of communication
- Develop, schedule and deliver tutor support sessions (via Adobe Connect) and assist in the development of online resources and content as part of our commitment to continuous improvement (some evening delivery required)
- Responsible for cohort and unit scheduling to ensure all key information in included on the Avado Hub for a positive student learning experience
- Assess student work, marking against set criteria, providing encouraging and development feedback in line with Avado marking guidelines and standards
- Provide developmental feedback on activities completed by students as part of their weekly learning journey
- Responsible for the releasing of student results adhering to Avados submission process
- Actively adhere to and promote Avados quality assurance procedures for course development and delivery including carrying out internal verification when required
- Actively engage and promote student activity and collaboration on the Hub and via social media
- Accountable for students learning, progression, results and satisfaction. This includes completion of tracking documentation to monitor and report on success rates against set KPIs
- Take responsibility for own professional development and complete all relevant training
- Educated at Degree level is essential (Master level desirable)
- SAQA qualification - Higher Certificate in Human Resource Practices
- SAQA qualification - National Higher Certificate: ABET Practice (or higher)
- Experience of teaching and assessing specializing in Human Resources or Learning & Development
- A lively, friendly personality and a willingness to get stuck in and become part of a busy, high-energy team
- A confident, clear communicator with strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
- An excellent team worker, able to motivate others and encourage student participation and bring fresh ideas to the team
- Adaptable and organized, able to learn quickly and use own initiative
- Demonstrable proficiency in digital and online learning
- Most importantly, a positive demeanor with a can do attitude
