We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Specialist to join our clients team. As an integral member of the HR department, you will report directly to the HR Leader Africa and play a pivotal role in driving their HR strategic priorities and supporting the achievement of our key objectives.
Essential Requirements of the Role:
- HR degree or National Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience across the HR spectrum
- Experience in managing a talent pool is preferred
- HR professional registration preferred
- Good working knowledge of HR legislation
- Good working knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Proficiency in MS Suite (3+ years of experience)
- Strong background in disciplinary hearings, CCMA representation, and investigations (3+ years of experience)
- Previous experience interfacing with leaders in a corporate environment (3+ years of experience)
- Well-organized and output-driven
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
HR Operations Support: Provide operational support by coordinating and facilitating HR processes to meet the needs of the business. This includes managing recruitment processes, employee learning and development, employee relations matters, and HR-related administration.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and relevant legislation. Prepare and distribute monthly reports, conduct statutory reporting (e.g., EE reporting, WSP, ATR, audits), and monitor employee trends through HR analytics.
Relationship Building: Foster effective business partnering by building relationships and maintaining open communication channels with stakeholders. Guide leaders on day-to-day HR matters, including performance management and employee relations.
HR Strategy and Initiatives: Contribute to HR strategy by identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. Drive HR projects and new initiatives aligned with the business and HR strategy, such as achieving Employment Equity (EE) targets and coordinating planned wellness initiatives.
Talent Management: Support talent management efforts by managing the recruitment process, maintaining a talent pool, and assessing employee engagement and retention. Conduct investigations, administer disciplinary actions, and drive employee development to ensure a high-performing workforce.
