Job Summary
Our client is seeking an HSE Officer on a 6-12 month contract to be the first point of contact for all SHEQ related matters for projects.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:-
- Minimum 3 years experience in marine, construction, or oil and gas industry
- OHS Certificate or equivalent
- SACPCMP Registration
- Firefighting and First Aid Certificates
- Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation Certificates
- Experience with HSE and quality management systems
- Knowledge of current HSE legislation
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:-
- Implement HSE Policies and Procedures: Ensure all employees and contractors comply with the companys HSE policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend effective control measures to mitigate risks.
- Safety Inspections and Audits: Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and operations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence. Prepare and submit detailed reports on findings.
