Job Description For Manager-Network Administrator
A Senior Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of an organization's computer network. This includes managing network infrastructure, installing and configuring network hardware and software, monitoring network performance, and troubleshooting network issues. The Network Administrator is also responsible for ensuring network security, implementing network policies and procedures, and maintaining network documentation.
Responsibilities
- Must have done Installing and configuring network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Manage a team of 2-3 junior N/W Admins. Responsible for entire companies Network Operations
- Must be able to develop, design and plan the execution of Network Strategy
- Monitoring network performance and identifying and resolving network issues.
- Maintaining network security by implementing network policies and procedures, including access control, antivirus, and firewall protection.
- Managing network infrastructure, including servers, storage devices, and other network equipment.
- Maintaining network documentation, including network diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and network configuration files.
- Collaborating with other IT staff and business users to ensure the network meets the needs of the organization.
- L7 services (ACI, firewall, LAN / WAN, load balancer, etc.)
- Datacentre network components & Cloud networking
- Configuration of routing protocols (HSRP, OSPF, BGP), VPN, LAN network
- Migrations activities from One firewall vendor to another.
- Performing day-to-day changes to SD-WAN, ACI, DCNM solutions.
- Minimum experience required: 10 years.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
- Enjoy working in a team environment and support multiple customer issues at a time.
- An ideal candidate will enjoy troubleshooting and thinking outside the box.
- MSP or Professional service experience are bonus points.
- Experience with troubleshooting a network topology consisting of but not limited to: Fundamental knowledge and experience with switches and routers.
- Experience with firewall functions such as NAT/PAT and VPN
- Understanding and working knowledge of Radius/LDAP
- Knowledge of Spanning-Tree and Port-Channels
- Experience with any High Availability concepts: A/A and A/P
- An understanding of SD-WAN, QoS and Traffic Shaping
- Must have CCNP or CCIE certification.
- Extensive experience in Cisco ASA Firewall, Firepower, F5 LTM
