Job Advert Summary
The HR Generalist: is an HR Professional with extensive experience in the full employee life cycle and best practices in human resources. To provide professional advise and guidance to Line Management, shop stewards and all employees on Human Resources matters in line with the Labour Legislation, company policies and agreements.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric/ Grade 12
- Minimum +-3 years National diploma in Human Resources (NQF Level 6)
- Minumum of 3 - 5 years in Industrial Relations,
- Experience with Disciplinary hearings, CCMA and Arbitration is a must,
- Advanced experience with HR management tools and methods to include risk management, strategic planning and change management,
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, presentation and critical thinking skills,
- Valid Drivers licence (highly advantageous)
- Trade Union environment work experience (highly advantageous)
- Support and compile relevant HR reports as mandated by ER Manager,
- Provide supporting role and or represent the company at the Bargaining Council in Conciliation matters, with guidance from the ER Manager,
- Provide a supporting role in preparation of Bundles for arbitration matters,
- Pro-active approach in dealing with IR matters on the shopfloor,
- Ensure good communication with all stakeholders i.e Employees, Management, and Trade Unions,
- Ensure there is Labour peace in the workplace,
- Consistently and fairly implement HR Policies and Procedures,
- Manage and foster good relations between Management, Employees and Trade Unions, at all times,
- Ensure Disciplinary cases and Grievances are fairly and procedurally resolved timeosuly as prescribed.
