The successful candidate is responsible for providing comprehensive support in the day-to-day operations of human resources, ensuring the efficient delivery of salary payments, the recruitment processes, employee benefit administration, new employee orientation and on-boarding, and the accuracy and maintenance of employee records.
The HR Administrator works closely with other departments to provide customer-focused, effective HR service to the organization for the achievement of the organization's goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, ; refers more complex questions to appropriate HR management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Provides clerical support to the HR department including Employment Equity and Skills Development reporting
- Assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan
- Assists with new hire
- In conjunction with the HR Manager, support operational staff in matters related to IR and dispute
- Represent the company at the CCMA e., Conciliation and Arbitration
- Support the HR Manager representing the organization at personnel-related hearings, investigations, union and labour
- Acts as interpreter for disciplinary and related
- Have sound practice, knowledge and implementation of Bargaining units and the
- Have sound practice, knowledge and understand unions
- Relevant HR qualification or related
- Experience and knowledge of Industrial / Employee Relations in a unionized environment is advantageous
- Minimum of 6 years HR experience in a medium-sized organization
- Good working knowledge of LRA, BCEA, EE, CCMA, BBBEE, SABPP HR Standards, payroll and skills development
- Ability to focus on the full spectrum of Human Resources, from general routine processes to strategic
- Must be able and willing to travel, as and when required
