Role Purpose
Partner with business to design, develop and implement Human Capital solutions that will enable the Momentum Investments Service and Operations business unit to achieve their objectives and goals.
Requirements
- B.Com Honours in HR or Industrial Psychology.
- Registration with HPCSA (psychometrist/industrial psychologist) advantageous.
- 3-5 Years Human Capital business partnering experience.
- Strong HR foundation and understanding of the full HR value chain and practices.
- Strong Industrial Relations experience.
- Drive the implementation of the HC strategy within the business unite and tailor make solutions to suit the needs of the clients.
- Effective business partnering through building strong relationships and an in depth understanding of the business and needs.
- Manage transactional and transformational Human Capital solutions to be implemented. Active involvement across the portfolio of clients.
- Solid understanding of HC practices and the HR value chain to be translated into best practice, advice and recommendations.
- Identify the reasons for challenges within the portfolio and develop pro-active solutions and plans to assist the team to overcome these so that they can be effective and deliver on their goals.
- Responsible to work with leadership and the specialist teams in the Human Capital team (OD, Internal Events and Communication) to ensure optimal organisational design, pro-active performance management, employee engagement and talent management of employees.
- Responsible for oversight and managing of all employee relations matters.
- Proactively come up with ideas to decrease IR matters over the long term. Partner with IR Centre of Excellence where required. Support leaders throughout the process to ensure substantive and procedural fairness so that they feel educated to make the right decisions.
- Manage integrated and value-added HC solutions in line with the needs of clients.
- Active involvement in engagement and pulse surveys to pro-actively drive solutions to positively impact the business to deliver on its goals and objectives.
- Work closely with leadership as well as the HC team to drive a high-performance culture and climate where employees feel valued and appreciated.
- Work with the HC team to develop leadership interventions to grow and develop the leadership at all levels.
- Identify effectiveness and training needs together with line managers and identify suitable solutions.
- Be part of the Business Manco team and influence key business decisions to ensure the effective management of employees through the fair, efficient and pragmatic application of best practice.
- Support the business through any change (business, people or process) and work with them to manage change effectively.
- Work with the Human Capital team to do effective workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, on-boarding and performance management to align the needs of the business to the workforce.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practice to optimise service offering, ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process with the HC Administrator to ensure that world class talent is attracted. This includes the process of psychometric assessments or in-baskets. When candidates are successfully appointed ensure that they receive assessment feedback and partner with them and the recruiting managers to implement plans on their development.
- Continuously monitor turnaround times and quality standards of human capital work delivered to clients and resolve issues speedily to enhance client service delivery. Manage client query processes and ensure that queries are tracked, accurately resolved and used as a mechanism to improve client service and business processes.
- Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency within the HC team.
- Deliver creative reporting to clients to keep the leadership updated on matters within their business. Reporting that will enable leadership to make the right and best decisions with regards to their people.
