Job Description
In your role you are required to provide the focal point for subject matter expertise as well as the delivery of professional HR advice and support across the full generalist HR remit forming an integral and customer facing at Venetia Mine as well as managing implementation of HR processes activities/projects in area of responsibility.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Providing input to Venetia Mine HR strategy
- Coach Line management and supervisors on the execution of the people strategy objectives
- Providing tactical and operational support to the Venetia underground project across the full range of HR activities, ensuring adherence to Group standards, policies, and procedures
- Advising, consulting, reviewing, evaluating, and influencing the use of appropriate Performance Management framework/s by providing relevant tools, techniques, and guidelines
- Responsible for Recruitment and talent acquisition within the Venetia underground project to meet the requirements of the ramp-up people plan
- Provide weekly recruitment and people-related reports to the Venetia underground project leadership critical to be competent in HR systems and be able to draw required reports
- Identify possible grievance scenarios before they actually arise and promote engagement and timeous conflict resolution
- People data of the Venetia underground project should be clear, monitored, analysed, and constantly inform your discussions, risk identification, and mitigation
- Track employees who are absent regularly refer where appropriate
- Hold HRD/Technical Training to account for up-to-date interventions to meet the capability requirements for the underground mine
- Create and maintain a high-performance organisational culture driving sustainable performance
- Ensure that all HR activities are done within good governance and risk mitigation (this entails being open to audits, doing audits in peers HR areas, and actively managing findings and risks in a continuous improvement mindset)
- First point of contact and/or Escalated contact for advice to line managers and employees on key HR policy and process
- HR Projects and Change Management: Initiates, monitors, and controls projects to ensure the attainment of desired results
Qualifications
Education required:
- Grade 12 (essential)
- BTech or HR Degree (essential)
- Certificate in Project Management (advantageous)
- Minimum of 8 years HR Generalist experience
- 5 years of Recruitment and Talent Acquisition with HR related Projects experience
- At least minimum 3 years experience in a management level (complexity 2)
- Experience within the Mining environment is preferable
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Valid EB/Code 08 Drivers License
- Successfully obtain a Red Ticket (Medical Fitness certificate) and Security clearance on mine
