Human Resources Intern

Our HR Team has an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join our team for a 6-month internship.
The successful applicant must be based in Cape Town and able to work from our Studio in Gardens at times. Applicants who are in the process of completing their HR (or related studies) this year are welcome to apply. Those with 1 - 2 year experience in an HR admin / intern position are also encouraged to apply.

The primary function of this role is to assist the HR team with administrative tasks;

JOB SUMMARY
1) HR Administration
Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
Assist employees with their staff records on request.
Assist with staff queries and refer to relevant parties where necessary.
Provide administrative support to HR Manager, Supervisors, and Senior Administrators.
Performance Review Administration
Responsible for scheduling annual reviews.
Administrative support on Payroll software.
Probation Review Administration
Schedule Probation Review meetings.
Ensure that all documentation relating to Probation Review is completed.
Track probation review status for all new joiners.
Update and upkeep of probation review information.
2) Leave
Assist with reconciling all annual leave transactions.
Assist with Sick Leave reconciliations.
3) Induction & Onboarding
Schedule Induction Training sessions.
Ensure that all new employees are aware of their Induction schedules.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND CRITERIA
HR Qualification (relevant degree / diploma) required.
0 - 2 years experience in an HR / Administrative role.
Solution driven.
Ability to manage a varied and complex workload.
Excellent time management skills.
Good spoken and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of MS Office Systems.
Good aptitude in online systems.
Accept ownership and deliver on commitments.
Strong collaboration mindset. Team player.
Lead by example.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
