Ensure usage of the SD module on Sage payroll
Recruitment Process
Follow the full recruitment system, including PPA and fingerprinting
Oversee the co-ordination of recruitment throughout the company.

Ensure that the induction schedule is signed and returned
BEE Compliance & Implementation
Assist the National HR Manager in the preparation of the BEE verification audit file on all Elements of the Scorecard
Active Involvement of all Elements of the scorecard
Must have full understanding of current BEE Legislation and requirements
General Human Resources Duties
Drafting Of Letters Of Appointments & Job Descriptions
Ensure that the necessary counselling is given or arranged to the staff when necessary.
Ensure effective communication with the employees
Ensure effective mentoring of employees when necessary
Input in Drafting of Policies and Procedures
Monitors company policy and procedures in line with group policy and prevailing legislation.
Maintaining of KPIs and Performance Appraisals system
Ensure all staff receive performance appraisals in accordance with company policy and monitor accordingly.
Maintain a succession plan for all departments
Attend daily Operations meetings
Must be up to date with current and prevailing labour legislation
Ensure that all policies and procedures are authorized by the Senior HR Manager, prior to be distributed
to employees.
Have valid input for the monthly Newsletter, this must be submitted timeously.
Ensure that the Newsletter is ready for distribution, by deadline date.
Ensure that the Employee of the Month nominations are received timeously. Confirm file checks on these
nominations and then consult with Snr HR Manager and HODs to finalise the winner.
Assist Senior HR Manager with compiling the summarised report to Senior Management of the business
on a monthly basis.
Ensure that a weekly HR report is sent to management
Ensure criminal checks are done for new employees in advance
Ensure criminal checks are conducted for all existing employees every 2 years
Ensure Daily Labour costs are done and submitted
Manage the Time & Attendance system
Manage the on site Clinic
Implement Wellness initiatives
Arrange counselling for employees when required
IR
Deal with all performance, grievance and IR related issues in a legally compliant and professional way
Conduct all investigations regarding theft and other disciplinary issues
Issue the relevant Disciplinary action and documentation
Arrange and sit in disciplinary hearings
Ensure that all IR related employee documents are signed and are in the employees file.
Preparation of Notice to attend a hearing, absconsion, written warnings etc.
Notify all necessary people including the employee of the findings
Attend CCMA/BC cases on behalf of the company
Ensure De-Merit Point Warnings are Issued
Ensure Alert Warning on points are issued
Attend Union Meetings
Investigate the daily absenteeism and issue the necessary disciplinary actions
Payroll Management
Ensure management of the JNB payroll:
Payroll is captured
Deadline dates are met.
Ensure payslips are printed and distributed monthly
Ensure that all payroll related filing is done monthly
Ensure that all employee files are up to date
Prepare all 3rd party payments and schedules by deadline dates, but not limited to the following:
Garnishees
Maintenance Orders
Funeral Contributions
Union Contributions
Bargaining Council Contributions
Provident Fund Contributions
Ensure that all third party preparations are submitted to finance timeously for payments.
All terminated employees files need to be archived.
Ensure regular Employee file checks are done
Ensure submission of electronic UIF declarations and claims via U-filing
Ensure submission of all injuries on duty via the online portal
Ensure that the yearend OID report is submitted to finance for payments
Ensure that the monthly leave report is monitored and further submitted to

Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Diploma in HR Management
- HR Degree will be an advantage
- Certificate in Industrial Relations will be an advantage
