Human Resources Practitioner

The HR Practitioner assists in the operation and implements HR policies and procedures. This role ensures that all aspects of HR support are delivered, including HR administrative support to stakeholders and HR colleagues.

Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Prepare Job adverts.
  • Shortlist CVs
  • Arrange and prepare targeted selection interview questionnaires.
  • Conduct interviews
  • Calculate and prepare offers for line managers consideration with approval from senior management.
  • Prepare, Coordinate, and facilitate the Induction of new joiners.
Retention
  • Talent Management
  • Culture Initiatives
  • Performance Management
  • Reward and recognition
  • Employee Satisfaction Surveys
  • Implement Interventions from the findings of Exit Interviews.
Employee Relations
  • Ensure implementation of company policies, procedures, and labour legislation and ensuring consistent application thereof
  • Review and Update Human Resource policies and procedures and ensure consistent application thereof.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and line managers regarding disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure a harmonious working environment across the business and its relevant production/manufacturing lines.
  • Schedule disciplinary inquiries and representation at the CCMA if needed.
Employee Health and Wellness
  • Coordination of wellness programs (health days, SANBS-Blood donations, HIV/AIDS) including Health Watch announcements
Learning and Development
  • Assists business in Identifying training needs aligned to the overall business goals.
  • Sourcing of suitable service providers in line with Learning & Development initiatives
  • Create a database of reputable service providers.
  • Coordinate training for employees
Compensation And Benefits
  • Ensure the efficient application of Employee Benefits Administration (Medical Insurance and Pension Fund)
  • Create a consistent compensation guideline that matches our work and organizational culture.
Essential Requirements
  • NQF Level 7- 3 Year Degree/ Advanced Diploma in Human Resources/ Social Sciences/ Industrial Psychology
  • Working knowledge of LRA, BCEA, PAYE, UIF, EEA
  • Medical Aid and Pension Fund Administrative Principles
  • Report Writing
  • HR Best Practices, HR Information Systems, HR Legislation
  • Skills Development
  • HR Legislation
  • 4-6 years Human Resources Generalist Experience
