Two areas of high importance which will be given priority are as follows:
Social Responsibility
- Manage and oversee the Social Responsibility program which include:
- Pre-school facilities
- Health Care Centre - Wellness programs, awareness programs, preventative medical treatments and the treatment of minor ailments
- Supporting sports teams
- Arrange and plan social functions
- Investigate all industrial issues and keep abreast of current legislation and industry trends (including arbitration decisions and collective bargaining outcomes)
- Represent the company at disciplinary hearings and act as prosecutor
- Prepare and distribute disciplinary related documents, including CCMA and Labour Court preparations
- Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the training of all labour relations activities of the organisation
- Manage employee relation issues, including harassment, work complaints and other employee concerns
- Initiate, co-ordinate and participate in bargaining talks
- Liaise with and ensure regular meetings with shop stewards
