Position Overview
The Imaging Informatics Administrator (IIA) has a direct reporting accountability to the Director of DI/Lab. As an integral member of the Rouge Valley Health System Diagnostic Imaging Program, the IIA is responsible for overseeing the department workflow design as well as monitor, manage and support the RIS(Meditech)/ Agfa PACS systems (picture archiving and communication system) and work to ensure its integrity. Responsible for budget requests for RIS/PACS related equipment in conjunction with senior management, Director of DI/Lab and Imaging managers. Other duties include problem resolution, reporting and training.
In collaboration with the Diagnostic Imaging Team (Radiologists, Director, Managers, Information Management Supervisor and the MIS Department), the IIA will be a part of the RIS/PACS team to ensure the successful operation and maintenance of the RIS/PACS systems. The expectation is that call will be shared collaboratively with the other full time IIA. This incumbent will also act as a liaison in digital imaging initiatives within the department and other departments to set and achieve patient and corporate Diagnostic Imaging service objectives and values.

Requirements
- M.R.T. (preferred) and PACS Certification
- Member of C.A.M.R.T. certified with multi-modality experience preferred
- Must have five years experience working in healthcare environment
- 1-3 years experience in PACS with experience/knowledge in diagnostic workstation technology or information technology
- Understanding of: RIS functionality, modality interfacing techniques, and DICOM functionality
- Familiar with in IT networking Topology
- A background in computers, networking and system troubleshooting or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Workflow mapping & design experience
- Strong working knowledge of DICOM standard and experience
- Knowledge of interface engines, specifically Rhapsody an asset
- Excellent interpersonal relations and written/oral communication skills required. Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people. IT networking theory & skill sets for trouble shooting, management and daily operations of network
- Ability to work well under pressure and on concurrent, multidisciplinary projects. Self motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong project management skills and the ability to lead IT projects
- Strong conflict resolution skills
