Information Review and Release Analyst in support of dynamic intelligence Community component offering a flexible work schedule. This position will serve in a critical role as the primary reviewer of records subject to the Automatic and Systematic declassification provisions of Executive Order 13526. This means that the position will be responsible for first-line review of records that are 25-years older and older to determine and document whether they: (1) contain information that makes them still classified or otherwise exempt from release; (2) contain material subject to the Kyl-Lott Amendment (i.e., nuclear weapons-related information); and (3) are of significant enough historical interest (based on collaboration with the components Discretionary Programs staff members) to be considered for discretionary release. The candidate must be able to successfully apply critical-thinking skills when evaluating material and utilize an array of customer systems and tools to accurately inform the review and release process. Time management, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with other team members is critical. The selected candidate must be able to consistently deliver high-quality, accurate work, and be willing to perform ad-hoc duties as needed. Candidates are encouraged to explore their creative side by making recommendations to improve processes and practices and suggest topics for further research. On-the-job training and opportunities to cross-train to support other component activities will be provided. Occasional travel to the Herndon, VA area may be required.
