Gibela Rail Transport Consortium invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of an Incoming Quality Inspector for MOTORS. The successful candidate will be based in Dunnottar Nigel.
The purpose of the job is for the successful candidate to visually and dimensionally inspect the incoming goods/material. Record all incoming goods status according to the incoming goods procedure. Document inspection reports.
Control the Quality documentation, samples and measuring equipment according to the Quality Management System. Raise Non-conformance Report for all detected non-conformities.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all parts received are checked, identified, and designated to their correct location on SAP/GSI .
- Conduct inspection of Traction Motor assemblies according to the required specifications.
- Evaluate and approve Quality Documentation from the supplier.
- Management of APSYS board for incoming inspection/line.
- Coordinate supplier reworks onsite
- Management of Equipment with metrology.
- Analyze defects and create Non-Conformity Report-NCR (on SAP/GSI) and ensure the containment and system checks is done.
- Management of QMLot for supplier part.
- Ensure proper allocation of CONQ for all non-quality cost.
- Analyze and find the root cause of repetitive non-compliancy / reworks QRQC methods.
- Follow the inspection plans defined for each product / part.
- Define the Demerit for each inspection / product.
- Conduct and animate the containment actions on non-conforming parts / material.
- Adhere to EHS guidelines and any other quality related processes.
Educational
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
- Engineering Diploma or equivalent
- Technical Drawings
- MS Office literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Good communication skills
- Technical knowledge with more than 3-5 years experience in quality, preferably in the Incoming Inspection of machining parts.
- Experience in manufacturing of AC Traction Motors
- Precision inspection experience
- Strong knowledge of Technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Strong knowledge and understanding of EN standards.
- Arc Welding, Brazing, Coils manufacturing, Winding, machining, painting and parts quality inspection experience
- Knowledge of Quality Inspection tools
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety standards
- Management of QMLOT
- Problem solving management with supplier.
- APSYS KPI management
- Non-conformity treatment Containment and system check.
- On time release of NCRs on SQP.
- Management of Supplier Quality documents.
