Job Summary: The Independent Chairperson of the Audit Committee is responsible for leading the Audit Committee in all aspects of its work and is responsible for effectively managing the affairs of the Audit Committee and ensure that it is properly organized and functions efficiently.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Establish procedures to govern the Audit Committee's work and ensure the Audit
- Meetings
- Participate in setting and agreeing the agenda of the Audit Committee in conjunction with the Principal Officer.
- Control and Risk
- Consider the effectiveness of the Scheme's internal control system, including information technology security and control.
- Financial Statements
- Review and comment on the annual financial statements and determine whether they are complete and consistent with the information known to Committee members.
- Ethics and Compliance
- Auditors
- Review the auditor's quality control procedures and steps taken by the auditor to respond to changes in regulatory and other requirements.
- A Chartered Accountant
- Be a member of an accredited institution
- Experience in Pension and Provident Funds.
- Experience as Non-Executive Director.
- Strong in Governance and Risk Management.
- Exposure in investment management will be an advantage.
- Exposure in Fund Administration will be an advantage.
- Must be Fit and Proper as per the Prudential Authority guidelines.
