IT & Customization Technician

For our Personalisation Bureau based in Honeydew we are looking for a permanent IT and CDP Engineer who will mainly provide IT support and customize profiles for both customer & production. To setup production machines and systems, and support Production on a daily basis to ensure optimal production output. To also ensure that their job goals are completed by striving for Quality, Trust and Security at all times.The main purpose of this position is to provide IT support and customize profiles for both customer & production. The key responsibilities of the position are as follows, but not limited to:

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot production floor applications.
• Basic knowledge of Operating Systems Win 10 &11, MS Server 2016 & 2019 and Linux.
• Good knowledge of the Server Virtualisation Technologies (VMware).
• Knowledge of basic principles of the LAN and WAN networks.
• Good understanding and knowledge of printers.
• Customizing of new and existing customer profiles, setups and systems.
• Setting up of layout, hardware, procedure & process to run the new/modified profiles.
• Testing of new and modified profiles.
• Need to qualifying products before production produce it.
• Train Operations on all new and modified profiles/procedure/setups/systems.
• Documentation to be up to date on all qualified profiles, setups and systems.
• Monitor and Improve procedure and process.
• Machine setups; maintain, change and improve for optimal production performance.
• Compile customer return files.
• Standard Audits (PCI/CQM/ISO/etc.): Related tasks needs to be performed to maintain accreditations.
• Data & Reports; assisting Operation with related requests.
• Provide technical product support to sales and project team for customer concerns.

MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 5 years or more professional market related experience in similar role.
• Computer Literacy - MS Office (Essential - light programming).
• Software and Hardware support.
• Applications support.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES:

• Have standard operating procedures.
• Consistent in approach, analytical, sensitive, precise and compliant.
• Attention to detail is essential including good hand and eye co-ordination and speed.
