We are currently looking for a highly experienced Infrastructure Manager to be part of our GDC Technical Operations team.
As an Infrastructure Manager, you will have critical responsibility of ensuring the companys gaming platforms are online and operational with limited downtime. In addition, the role manages a team of professionals across the DevOps and SysOps teams in looking after all physical and virtual infrastructure that make up different gaming platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, orchestration, monitoring and its resilience
This role is open to all our locations.
Remote - UK / USA / LATAM
Onsite - Tallinn, Estonia / Malta / Gibraltar / Cape Town, South Africa / Isle Of Man
Responsibilities
The role shall involve delivering the following to the companys gaming platform whilst adhering to the requirements of operating in regulated markets:
- Strategic Planning
- Resource Allocation
- Capacity Planning
- Monitoring and Optimization
- Overall operations to ensure the Gaming Platform remain:
- Reliable
- Stable
- Secure
- Cost-effective
- Management of staff in within the DevOps and SysOps teams
- Conducting Performance reviews
- Setting individual MBOs
- Mentoring and coaching
- Day to day management of staff:
- Prioritizing workloads
- Ensure staff adhere to deadlines
- Resolving conflict
- Staff wellbeing
The Infrastructure Manager shall ensure the following are kept up to date:
- Infrastructure Procedures.
- IP Addresses are manged and maintained.
- Network diagrams are maintained with version control.
- Ensure change management is adhered to.
- Support for ISO 27001 certification.
The Infrastructure Manager shall maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and venders whilst ensuring SLAs are met and issues are dealt with to the satisfaction of Games Global.
Cost shall be scrutinized to ensure Games Global suppliers remain competitive.
Operational
The Infrastructure Manager shall ensure that staff adhere to all the companys policies and procedures whilst performing routine tasks, including but not limited to:
- User account management
- DNS records
- Commissioning and decommissioning of servers
- OS and application patching
- Certificate renewals
- Change management
- Storage expansion
- Content delivery
Who are we looking for?
- We are looking for a seasoned Infrastructure manager with experience in managing teams across different locations.
- Capable of leading, motivating, and managing a team of IT professionals.
- Mentoring and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- In addition to being an excellent people manager, technical expertise in Systems administration, Networking, and Software & Hardware experience in both Windows and Linux is required.
- Experience in handling large-scale Virtualized environment and systems in regulated jurisdictions is required.
- Experience in planning and execution of projects related to infrastructure, virtual servers, migrations, etc is required.
- Ability to develop project plans, set milestones, and ensure timely completion.
- Future Planning experience
- Ability to foresee future infrastructure needs and plan accordingly
- Documentation management experience required
- Proficiency in creating detailed technical documentation and reports
