Vacancy : Insights Analyst (Consumer and Shopper research)

Who we are looking for
We have an amazing opportunity for an Insights Analyst based at our Cape Town office to join our Insights team and work with some of the world's leading brands.
We are looking for a hands-on insights analyst, who is client centric, has a passion for data; unraveling shopper & consumer behaviour, and a love for insights and how one can leverage key insights in order to shape what shoppers & consumers do.
The successful candidate will not be afraid to get their hands dirty and walk the hard yards when necessary in order to achieve the best outcome for our clients and our business.

Responsibilities:
- Owner of Research projects from inception to completion (Shopper and consumer research)
- Project Management and management of field workers (including external suppliers)
- Structure field requirements to deliver on client objectives
- Be able to commission projects to suppliers / contractors when necessary
- Execute research projects applying different methodologies
- Social Media Management (with some content writing)
- Creating and winning opportunities to sell insights to current and potential clients.
Designing research instruments (e.g. Surveys, questionnaires, discussion guides etc.)
Data Analysis and interpretation
Research report and recommendations
Translate data into insights that address key client business questions and assistance with building a compelling story to present to client
Drafting research proposals for commissioned research
Presenting proposals to clients/prospective clients
Selling insights as a service offering to potential and existing clients. (Advantageous)
Key Skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Well versed in various quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation building skills (PPT and Google Slides)
- Must be comfortable talking and presenting to senior stakeholders in a business (clients)
- Must be confident having sales conversations/negotiations (for selling insights as a service)
Qualifications:
Relevant 3-year tertiary qualifications (Marketing / Marketing research advantages)
Minimum of 5 years experience (compulsory) within a similar environment (consumer or shopper research)
