A position has become available for an Inspector, based in Alberton, Gauteng.
JOB STATEMENT
The Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products, system, and services meet the established standards and regulations by conduct inspections, test, and internal audits.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Using various gages and equipment to measure dimensions and functionality
- Reading blueprints and specifications to understand the requirements and standards
- Rejecting products that fail to meet quality standards and reporting any defects or discrepancies
- Maintaining work area and equipment in a clean and safe condition
- Conducting inspections, test, and internal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Identify and report any nom-compliance issues and recommend corrective measure
- Communicate inspection results and findings to Supervisor
- Conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions
- Performing quality checks and process audits on materials, products, and service
- Compile detailed inspection reports with pictures
- Compile condition report for each refurbishment part
- Reports directly to the Process and Quality Coordinator
- Liaise with other internal staff
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- A high school diploma or equivalent, or bachelors degree or four-year apprenticeship
- 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or related field
- Knowledge of safety and quality regulations and standard, such as ISO9000
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Experience using inspection tools, equipment, and software
- A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
- Ability to use inspection in related field
- Certification in the related field would be an asset
- Microsoft Office exposure, Excel and Word etc
- 2-5 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or related filed
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety and quality regulations and standards
- Experience using inspection tools, equipment, and software
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational and leadership skills combined with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- A self-motivated induvial with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication, cooperation, and people skills
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- The employee is required to stand, walk, and climb or balance
- The employee must lift and /or move up to 20kg
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- 100% medical fit
- Climbing of stairs, ladders, and scaffolds at job sites and customer facilities
- Conducting diagnostic testing on malfunctioning systems to determine the root cause of the malfunction
- Adhering to all work-site safety rules and regulations
