Redheads Engineering Solutions is teaming up with a valued client to recruit an experienced Installation and Commissioning Specialist.
Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, this role within the Process Automation sector demands precise execution of installation and commissioning activities across diverse projects, reporting directly to the Hoisting Operations Manager.
Salary is market-related, based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the planning and execution of commissioning activities, orchestrating seamless alignment with installation supervisors and site managers. Foster the implementation of commissioning design alterations and furnish mark-ups for as-built project documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure meticulous modification and upkeep of all documentation, maintaining the document handling system and implementing the latest revisions in tandem with site management and project managers. Uphold quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness while providing feedback for organizational improvement.
- Coordination and Compliance: Coordinate commissioning assignments and liaise with contractors and colleagues. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and contractual obligations. Enhance and apply processes and tools within your technical sphere for optimal project delivery.
- Customer Interaction: Engage in meetings with customers, overseeing customer-appointed installation contractors to ensure adherence to our client's quality standards. Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) during project manufacturing phases.
- Safety Leadership: Act as a vigilant guardian of safety standards, empowered to halt any on-site activities, whether by our client's personnel or subcontractors, in case of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) violations. Take requisite measures to mitigate risks and safeguard personnel.
- Stakeholder Management: Forge and maintain robust relationships with customers, local authorities, and suppliers. Seek active support for field activities, aiming for customer satisfaction and continuous improvement through feedback mechanisms.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical and/or Hydraulic Engineering.
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in hoisting installations and/or maintenance.
- Willingness to travel internationally to various sites.
