Job Description: As an Interior Designer in our PDS Team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality design solutions that align with client objectives and promote sustainable and efficient workplace environments. Your primary responsibility will be to conceptualize, develop, and implement innovative interior design schemes that enhance the functionality, aesthetic appeal, and user experience of various commercial spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints.
- Create and develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentations to effectively communicate design visions and solutions.
- Conduct site visits, assess existing conditions, and develop detailed space plans, furniture layouts, and elevation drawings.
- Employ advanced knowledge of design principles, color theory, materials selection, and furniture specifications to create cohesive and functional interiors.
- Research and select appropriate finishes, fixtures, equipment, and furnishings in line with project budget and design intent.
- Coordinate and liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure the successful execution and installation of design elements.
- Contribute to the development of RFPs, design guidelines, and standards for new projects and clients.
- Stay updated with industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies within the interior design and construction industry.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Interior Design team by sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices.
- Uphold and implement JLL's quality control and sustainability standards throughout all stages of the design process.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Professional certification or accreditation is a plus.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as an Interior Designer, with an emphasis on corporate or commercial interiors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design ideas to project stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- A keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and space planning, with a focus on delivering exceptional design solutions.
- Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and the ability to incorporate them into projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Experience working with diverse client groups and a solid understanding of their unique operational needs.
