Intermediate Quantity Surveyor. Cape Town, Western Cape. Salary negotiable.
Our client is in the consulting and construction industry.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
· Senior Certificate
· Quantity Surveying Degree or Diploma (or equivalent qualification)
· 5 years relevant and verifiable work experience in a related industry
· Advanced Microsoft Office Excel experience
·. High attention to detail
· A can-do attitude and ability to bring positive energy to any situation
PRIMARY ROLE:
General Estimating having full tender responsibilities
Measurement of drawings
Project Measurement for costing purposes
Costing and compilation of Bill of Quantities
Compilation of Variation Orders
Attending all Site Inspections for tendering purposes and providing a written report on requirements
Compiling quote adjudications
Maintain filing and a record of calculations
Weekly reports to Head of Department regarding completed quotes
Keeping up to date on market related rates
Assist with the Procurement function: Obtain quotes from sub-contractors and manage relationships
