The purpose of the Internal Auditor role is to facilitate and support any audit engagement assigned within the Shoprite Group. The role supports the audit team to maintain and develop the internal auditing teams mandate by delivering end-to-end internal audit services in line with the Group wide internal audit policies, procedures and templates aimed to provide assurance by increasing general awareness to compliance, risk reduction and remediation. The role acts in accordance with the annual audit plan and adhoc audits as delegated. The Internal Auditor plans and performs against specific internal stakeholder requests, whereby the audit comprises of routine agreed procedures (scope of audit) and also supports in audit activities related to stores, divisions and/or any other reasonable departmental audit request.The role performs all of the related audit procedures, administrative tasks, reporting requirements and updating of official audit documents: findings, comments, follow up on open findings and closures. The role may also from time-to-time partner cross-functionally to deliver audit projects focusing on financial, operational, and internal control processes.
