Internal sales consultant (Brits)

The incumbent handles in store floor sales. The Internal Salesperson works directly with store customers, provides them with specialist technical product information and sells products to customers. The incumbent is required to be well presented with strong interpersonal and sales skills which allow for building and strengthening of customer relationships. We are looking for a people orientated energetic person to join our team!

Key Roles And Responsibilities

Analyses the market environments and identify problem areas as well as potential opportunities

Cold Calling

Answer the telephone

Reply to emails (enquiries, quotations, orders)

Greet and service customers with a smile

Greet all customers when passing the retail area

Effectively manage the pay point

Ensure the cash box area is neat and tidy

Ensure all petty cash is available

Ensure all daily stationery is available

Floor Sales

Direct customer to correct product location

Provide specialist technical information and knowledge

Offer technical solutions to customers

Promote marketing related promotions and competitions

Promote the brand and franchise

Close sales -discounts, invoicing, orders, COD accounts or 30 day accounts

Make sure all products are invoiced according to item codes and stock descriptions

Provide customers with quotations

Follow up with quotations not processed

Process and place customer orders

Follow up with suppliers for customer orders

Assist customer with returns/exchanges of goods

Provide customers with feedback regarding the progress of their order/s

Follow-up with supplier/s regarding stock orders for the store

Identify new and potential clients that can form part of the customer base

Assist stores with receipt of stock and stock count

Update success tracker on a daily basis

Day end cash-up and balancing of all monies (account, credit card, cheque, cash)

Learn about other department heads & managers to direct customers in the right direction

RequirementsSenior certificate or NQF4 equivalent

SA citizen or valid work permit for SA

At least 1 year experience in sales or internal sales

Experience in an electrical environment is advantageous
