Analyses the market environments and identify problem areas as well as potential opportunities
- Cold Calling
- Answer the telephone
- Reply to emails (enquiries, quotations, orders)
- Greet and service customers with a smile
- Greet all customers when passing the retail area
- Effectively manage the pay point
- Ensure cash box area is neat and tidy
- Ensure all petty cash is available
- Ensure all daily stationery is available
- Floor Sales
Provide specialist technical information and knowledge
Offer technical solutions to customers
Promote marketing related promotions and competitions
Promote the brand and franchise
Close sales -discounts, invoicing, orders, COD accounts or 30 day accounts
Make sure all products are invoiced according to item codes and stock descriptions
- Provide customers with quotations
- Follow up with quotations not processed
- Process and place customer orders
- Follow up with suppliers for customer orders
- Assist customer with returns/exchanges of goods
- Provide customers with feedback regarding the progress of their order/s
- Follow-up with supplier/s regarding stock orders for the store
- Identify new and potential clients that can form part of the customer base
- Assist stores with receipt of stock and stock count
- Update success tracker on a daily basis
- Day end cash-up and balancing of all monies (account, credit card, cheque, cash)
- Learn about other department heads & managers to direct customers in the right direction
SA citizen or valid work permit
At least 1 year experience in sales or internal sales
Experience in an electrical environment is advantageous
