A well-established chemical company requires the above to manage key accounts with large manufacturing companies supporting the external key accounts managers within the company ensuring a high level of customer service at all times. Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have a matric or equivalent.
- Previous experience having worked in an internal sales or customer services administration role is essential for the role.
- Previous experience having worked for a chemical raw material company that distributes products to manufacturers is essential.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
- Must be service-orientated and have commercial drive.
- Good planning and execution skills.
- Must have excellent Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
- Managing key accounts with large manufacturing companies supporting the external key accounts managers.
- Quoting prospective customers across all product ranges and providing product information where needed.
- Receiving and processing orders to ensure delivery and collection expectations for house account customers are met.
- Maintaining backorders/open and forward orders on a daily basis.
- Monitoring of stock levels to meet customers needs.
- Assisting with quotes and monthly pricing when needed.
- Following up with customers with regards to previous days' deliveries to ensure customer service and on-time in full deliveries.
- Communicating with customers with regard to order status, stock availability pricing etc.
- Ensuring that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion, including account queries.
- Ensuring external sales are kept informed of any developments relevant to their accounts.
