Singita Management Company is recruiting for the following skilled position:
The International Sales & Revenue Manager is responsible for increasing revenue by growing occupancy through the continuous management of client relationships, the direction and management of the sales teams within Africa, South East Asia, Latin America, Brazil, China, the UAE and the integration of the sales team into the relevant support functions.
Reports to the Group Head of Revenue and Sales (GHRS).
Key Responsibilities
Support the GHRS in managing the worldwide sales and revenue teams (Sales, Tailored and Reservations) and Product team, as well as managing the other markets together with the trade fulfilment teams (Reservations and Tailored teams).
Support the Revenue Manager with a specific focus on inventory management.
Directly manage the sales teams within Africa, South East Asia, Latin America, Brazil, China, and the UAE, directing an inspirational, relationship approach.
Develop a strategy to optimise revenues from these markets and maximise the impact of every sale interaction.
Drive sales team activities, including partnered consumer focussed events, targeted trade shows etc.
Ensure quick responses to trade queries.
Build communities with common interests and directs the team to target specific messaging to specific agent communities, developing and optimising CRM efficiencies.
Represent Singita at trade shows and events when necessary.
Participate in rate strategy development and negotiates and implement trade contracts.
Write the relevant reports.
Coordinate and manages trade visits ensuring adequate lodge involvement and training and coordinating follow-up and results of visits.
Increase revenues from established markets into secondary Singita services: Tailored, Grumeti Air, Connect etc.
Develop and measure the success of targeted campaigns run by the sales team (e.g. to boost short-lead revenue; launch and promote conservation safaris; Carnival period in Brazil; golden week in China etc.).
Collaboration with:
The Marketing team on optimising opportunities through consortia platforms and other platforms.
The Marketing and revenue conversion teams to develop annual trade sales strategy and budget.
Product and marketing teams to create messaging platforms and presentations for the sales team to utilise in these markets.
Reservations and Tailored teams to ensure that all parties involved with working with trade partners fully understand the specific nature of each relationship for the overall Singita service offering is seamless.
Sales Department Goals:
Increased revenues (through increased occupancy and improved ABNR) and revenues per agent.
Improved ROIs on sales activities.
Increased brand loyalty.
Building capacity within all teams to ensure long-term sustainability that maintains pace with the overall business growth; including Growth and development of team members; succession planning.
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience working in sales from within the high-end hospitality industry.
Well-presented, articulate and enjoy engaging with people (personable).
