Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Investigations Lead to join our team. As the Investigations Lead, you will be responsible for managing and conducting forensic investigations, ensuring adherence to professional standards and ethics. Your role will involve leading and coordinating investigations assignments, managing a team, and providing expert testimony in disciplinary and court proceedings. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in growing our investigations practice by seeking out new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage investigations assignments, ensuring adherence to required standards, code of ethics, and professional behavior.
  • Proactively lead, manage, and engage with staff assigned to you, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project plans to ensure timely delivery in accordance with agreed timelines.
  • Ensure that investigations work is performed in accordance with the required standards, code of ethics, and professional behavior.
  • Ensure evidence is appropriately obtained and securely preserved.
  • Perform all necessary investigations administration requirements.
  • Draft and review factual findings reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Assist in drafting charge sheets and liaise with law enforcement agencies when required.
  • Testify in disciplinary or criminal forums as an expert witness.
  • Review planning, client invoicing, and delivery to expedite cash collections proactively.
  • Grow the investigations practice by seeking out opportunities and proposing new business through quotations, tenders, etc.
  • Prepare presentations to take to prospecting clients and coordinate with others to drive sales success.
  • Represent the company as required at conferences, presentations, seminars, and other events.
  • Attend required training to maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
  • Collect, collate, maintain, and summarize the Group whistle-blowing hotline reports for quarterly meetings.
  • Drive improvements in the whistle-blowing reporting mechanisms throughout the Group.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • At least 10 years of experience in forensic accounting/auditing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing forensic investigations.
  • Proven track record in conducting successful forensic investigations.
  • Experience in testifying in disciplinary and court proceedings.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Law, or Investigations.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner certification is preferable.
  • Multiskilled, with additional certifications such as CFE, CA(SA), LLB, or CIA.
  • Relevant professional membership in ACFE, SAICA, ICFP, IIA(SA), etc.
  • Up-to-date with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
  • Valid driving license and own vehicle.

ESTIMATED PACKAGE
  • Estimated total cost to company is determined based on years experience and qualifications.
  • Annual leave days is 20 accrued monthly.
  • Notice period for termination: 60 days.
  • Performance and discretionary bonuses are not guaranteed and are subject to company performance and resources.
