You've kick started your career in financial planning and the part you enjoy most if the research and analysis that happens before you can advise a client. What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You'll be doing highly technical investment analysis work to propose solutions and you'll draft financial recommendations that meet clients' goals and needs. You will also be responsible for coordinating and implementing paraplanning processes, provide support in the development and implementation of new products, services or systems as well as manage all aspects relating to paraplanning and advisory services support including structuring new business proposals, technical report writing is a big focus in this role.
Where you'll be doing it
You'll be joining a small and innovative firm that provides customised financial planning and investment services to retirement funds and their members. They have been going for just over 4 years and have experienced phenomenal growth so you will be part of a young dynamic team that strives to make a difference. Their offices are based in Bellville, you'll be office based while being surrounded by a small team of people just like you, also known as Report Writers.
What you'll need
This is financial planning so of course a completed CFP is first prize or at least studying towards your Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning. You need to have gained no less than 1 years' experience in financial planning administration or as a Financial Planner with solid investments knowledge. The business is paperless so Advanced Excel skills are essential and you'll be compiling presentations so PowerPoint is needed to. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential due to the reporting and data you'll be working with.
