IQbusiness is seeking to employ a senior motion design specialist to join an overseas team working from our offices in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
We have a number of freelancing (project per project, about 3 months at a time) opportunities available.
About you and the key skills, were looking for.
You should have a proven track record as Senior Motion Designer, working with local or international clients. You should have at least 8 years relevant working experience where you have shown to be an autonomous and independent individual with a strong creative drive and a perfectionist mindset.
You excel at generating innovative and compelling creative propositions. Moreover, you possess the ability to optimize the video creation process to maximize efficiency, ensuring projects are delivered in the most streamlined and effective manner. You thrive in fast-paced environments, maintaining composure while producing high-quality work.
Your Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and comfortable with its integration with other Adobe software, as well as understanding technical and artistic knowledge of Adobe's main software, including Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator are key in this role.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Motion Designer, you will play a crucial role in bringing static designs to life through movement and visual storytelling. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrate strong graphic design skills, including a diverse portfolio showcasing print, web, and other mediums.
- Showcasing strong motion design skills with a focus on typeface design, layout, and visual balance of graphic elements.
- Providing art direction to ensure program coherence across all modules.
- Exhibiting strong editing skills using Adobe Premiere, with a keen eye for the best cuts and transitions.
- Taking a proactive approach during review loops by effectively communicating with the producer to clarify changes, offering alternative solutions if needed.
- Capable of managing the entire post-production process, from editing and graphics to rendering and establishing seamless integration between After Effects and Premiere.
- Generating innovative and compelling creative propositions.
- Optimize the video creation process to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Strong motion design skills; at least 5+ years' relevant experience using Adobe After Effects.
- Graphic design skills.
- Art direction skills to keep a program coherent throughout all modules.
- Strong editing skills using Adobe Premiere) and a flair for best cuts/transitions.
- Pro-active when it comes to review loops (quickly communicating with producer to get clarity if changes are unclear, finding solutions or alternative options if needed, etc)
- Adobe main software advanced technical & artistic knowledge (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Being able to take care of a whole post-production process (edit, gfx, rendering, link between After Effects and Premiere)
- Autonomous, independent, creative, perfectionist, strong in creative propositions
- Being able to optimize a video creation process to be the most efficient possible
- Strong resistance to stress and ability to handle tight delivery timeframes
