Job Purpose
The IT Asset and Configuration Management Analyst is integral to the service management processes and the role of the Analyst is to support IT through the identification, control recording, reporting, verification, and auditing of the configuration items (Cis) in a centralised Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

IT Asset and Configuration Management
- Take responsibility for configuration management tools and processes.
- Collaborate with configuration item owners to ensure process adherence and the accuracy and completeness of the CMDB.
- Perform regular data quality audits:
- Inform Data Owners and Service Providers about data quality issues.
- Use current and historical data to Identify, evaluate and analyze potential CMDB process issues.
- Manage and maintain data relationships.
- Collaborate with the Change Manager to ensure proper control mechanisms over CIs are in place and maintained, while keeping a record of changes to CIs, versions, location, and ownership.
- Create reports to establish key performance indicators and set milestones.
- Stay current with asset and configuration management trends such as management, technologies, sourcing, policies, processes, and other external developments that may affect IT assets.

- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology, Business, or a related field
