You will set appropriate levels of monitoring for resources and system performance, promptly identifying any capacity issues and tracking IT resource usage. You will liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure availability of IT endpoints and assets to cater for all requirements. You will also produce high-quality reports on capacity and performance, ensuring compliance with capacity targets stated in SLAs for SIGMA clients.
You will resolve capacity constraints or risks in a timely and appropriate manner, taking proactive measures to maintain service levels. You will also develop and update capacity plans aligned with the organization's business planning cycle, identifying capacity requirements early enough to account for procurement lead times.
You will manage and prioritize IT demands from stakeholders, understanding their business requirements and aligning them with IT capabilities. You will collaborate with business units to forecast and plan IT demand, incorporating business growth projections and changing needs. You will also develop and maintain a demand management process that effectively captures, analyses, and prioritizes demand requests.
You will play a vital role in monitoring demand trends, proactively identifying potential challenges or opportunities, and making recommendations for IT service enhancements. You will also liaise with relevant stakeholders to maintain knowledge of future demand for services and predict the effects of demand on service levels and resultant capacity requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Desirable)
- ITIL Foundation certification or other relevant certifications in capacity management or IT service management. (Desirable)
- Experience in managing user licenses for software applications & IT asset tracking
- Proficiency in capacity and demand management tools and technologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related tools,
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills & advanced ability to interpret data
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to effectively collaborate and influence decision-making.
- Extensive experience of computer systems and related technologies.
- Strong experience with business systems and related technologies.
You ensure the implementation of capacity impact assessments for any major changes to IT services or components are relevant and aligned with the Change Advisory Boards (CABs).
You will offer your analytical support to the investigation and resolution of any capacity-related incidents and ensure the initiation of appropriate Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) to prevent recurrence. You will oversee the management and optimization of user licenses for software applications, ensuring compliance with license agreements and maximizing license utilization.
You will collaborate with IT teams and business units to understand license requirements, manage license inventory, and recommend license adjustments to align with changing business needs. You will also conduct regular license audits and provide recommendations to ensure license compliance and cost efficiency.
