Role Description
The role of the IT Learning Specialist at Hogan Lovells is innovative and varied. The trainers' days are involved in delivering face to face and remote training, designing and preparing courses and documentation, and creating online learning. They also carry out project work related to research, upgrades or rollouts. Members of the team are encouraged to come up with new ideas and, when trainers are interested in experimenting in new areas, such as online learning, they are given every opportunity to do so.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Provide IT training using a variety of delivery methods to all levels of staff, to enable them to use the firms technology systems effectively.
- Manage projects from a Training perspective undertaken by other areas such as Technology to offer advice on appropriate training methods and where appropriate provide training and documentation.
- Work with others in Training and Technology to offer support, advice and resolution of users technical problems. Deal with occasional user queries assigned to the IT Training team by the Service Desk.
- Write appropriate documentation and course notes for all courses offered.
- Deliver training remotely via virtual classroom technology.
- Create online content such as eLearning and videos to provide additional and alternative training formats to local and international users.
- Travel to international offices to deliver training and support, analysing each visit upon return and submitting appropriate recommendations.
- Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location or services.
Essential
- Two years' training experience in delivering remote training.
- Delivering training to all levels of users ie partners, secretaries
- Two years' experience in delivering classroom training.
- Experience of working in a professional services firm
- Experience in delivering training remotely.
- Experience in presenting and delivering demonstrations.
- Experience of working in a global firm
- Experience of working in a law firm
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A good knowledge of MS Office 365
- Expertise in a variety of mobile devices and software
- Expertise in applications within a corporate legal environment
- Particular expertise in Word, including Styles and long documents.
- Experience of one-to-one technology coaching
- Experience of developing Training Needs Analysis
