Wilderness has invested significantly in its IT infrastructure. As a business we believe that our IT systems provide us with a competitive advantage in the marketplace. We are looking for a strong candidate who can implement the quality control and testing functions within the business.
- This position can be based in either Johannesburg or Cape Town.
- Develop a strong familiarity of all aspects of the WW, particularly on how it should be functioning best to support the wide variety of users and their requirements.
- Understand new functionality and the requirements that it is addressing by discussion with users, developers, attendance of various meetings as required.
- Create, implement and maintain a complete set / description of test scenarios to ensure that the functionality is delivering as expected.
- Develop an understanding of the use of Itrvl and how it integrates with the Window, as you will require the ability to determine issues in Itrvl that are caused by either WW functionality behaviour (or issues), or data.
- Assist in clearing critical logs and answering support emails on an ad-hoc basis.
- Assist with training in exceptional circumstances if required by the Systems Training Team.
- Have a mindset of improving the look and feel of the WW to bring it to the next level.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualifications & Experience
- Solid experience in reservations.
- A graduate (relevant qualification from a reputable tertiary education provider, either in Travel & Tourism, commercial/financial degree or tertiary certificate).
- Prior experience working on the Wilderness Window is a must.
- Analytical mind, investigatory mind, process driven and problem-solving aptitude.
- Very good communication skills, and Intermediate Excel skills.
- Familiarity with all business functions.
- Excellent organisational and leaderships ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Organised, methodical.
- Ability to work under pressure without compromising accuracy.
- Ability to pace oneself and prioritise demands.
- Team worker and ability to interface with various departments.
- Analytical and have an understanding of data.
