Job Description
In this role, you will contribute to System Design by assisting with architectural design, guiding developers in technical decisions, coding, and reviewing code. You will research and select the optimal architecture for proposed systems, adhering to development standards. Your responsibilities will include developing code that meets software testing criteria, creating software builds from source code according to the companys coding standards, and configuring the necessary development environment. Additionally, you will produce integration test specifications based on project plans, conduct tests as specified, record any failures, document FAT test results for each developed function, and compile system integration reports.
Occasionally, due to the critical nature of the business, you may need to work outside of regular hours.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in Software Development
- Grade 12
- Standard literacy - English language proficiency
- IT Degree or Diploma or relevant experience
- In-depth Java knowledge
- Java 8 J2EE
- J2EE containers and web servers (Payara / Glassfish)
- Api development REST and SOAP
- Spring boot framework
- Apache Camel
- Apache Maven
- Working knowledge of operating systems, including Linux
- A thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
- Source code management (Git)
- Strong Problem-solving skills and accurate forecasting of effort required and closing timeframe
