The development of the Kamoa-Kakula copper mining complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC), the Platreef palladium-rhodium-platinum-nickel-copper-gold discovery in South Africa, the extensive redevelopment and upgrading of the historic Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver mine, also in the Democratic Republic of Congo and exploration on the Western Foreland, near Kamoa-Kakula.

The management and control over the JD Edwards project portfolio are vital elements to the overall environment that we manage. Project documentation and administration is key to the transparency and governance of projects.

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Project management certification or relevant degree relating to Project Management
  • 3 5 years of project support experience
Advantageous Skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar tool
  • Sound knowledge of Visio
  • Sound knowledge of OpenProjects
  • Knowledge of JDE security and Qsoftware.
Technical Skills Should Include
  • Understand and effectively communicate to different project stakeholders levels with appropriate content

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:

JDE Security
  • Project Management
    • Management of JD Edwards projects and projects related to the JDE ERP.
    • Designs, implements, evaluates and audits project management templates for the JDE team.
    • Compiles metrics relating to project success, project attributes and individual productivity and adherence to defined processes.
    • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
    • Manage projects or serves as a resource to project managers and project leaders to provide administrative support and assist them with implementing project management processes and making improvement/changes.
    • Report and escalate to management as needed.
    • Integrates project data for decision makers.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with project teams and business.
    • Use and continually develop leadership skills.
    • Create and maintain project documents as required.
    • Create and maintain project plans to track and monitor progress.
    • Prepare monthly JDE project reports for all companies.
    • Updates and maintains the project management information system and provides status reports.
    • Provides overall co-ordination and reporting of projects.
    • Maintains work and resource schedules for projects.
    • Preparation of minutes of meetings as required
    • Coordinate internal resources.
    • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
    • Ensure project resources fulfil their duties.
    • Perform other related project duties as required.
    • Serves as a resource to the JDE department, to assist them with implementing project management processes and making improvements/changes.
    • Interfacing and coordination with Accounts Payable.
  • Management of JDE profile security for new and current users.
  • Management of JDE profile terminations.
  • Assists in the preparation of JDE audit monthly reports.
