Our client, recognized as one of South Africa's Top Employers, is currently in search of a Brand Manager specializing in Internal Medicines & Hospital. The incumbent will be responsible for developing strategies, overseeing marketing initiatives, and coordinating promotional activities for assigned brands and portfolios. The primary objective is to ensure the provision of optimal strategies and tools to all customer-facing colleagues, thereby maximizing patient impact. This role entails ensuring that strategies are comprehensive, encompassing all sectors (private & public) and channels of distribution.
Education And Experience
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience: a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, coupled with at least 2 years of marketing experience. A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent is also required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate financial forecasts and develop mitigation plans as needed.
- Manage advertising and promotion budgets, monitoring ROI.
- Develop brand strategies aligned with global objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive brand initiatives.
- Establish positive relationships with internal stakeholders and key opinion leaders.
- Oversee vendor management in accordance with policy.
- Achieve brand revenue targets across all channels.
- Manage brand P&L and expenses effectively.
- Collaborate on country Operational Plans and revenue targets.
- Facilitate channel marketing strategies and tactics development.
- Coordinate long-range demand forecasting with demand planning.
- Support onboarding and upskilling of representatives in response to market changes.
- Demonstrates business acumen and decisiveness.
- Holds both self and others accountable and leads change effectively.
- Builds and leads cross-functional teams with self-awareness.
- Possesses broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment, including pricing, reimbursement, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
